SA Partridge was born in Cape Town, South Africa and knew from a young age that she was going to be a writer. An early interest in reading and writing ensured this. While the rest of her class were still learning how to form sentences she was already reading out loud to the rest of them.

Sally-Ann's mother took advantage of her writing skills in order to enter competitions that required snappy answers and to date, the family has won a How to be a Millionaire question and answer book, a glass rhinoceros, a rice cookbook, a Tina Turner CD and a plastic watch.

Her professional career has included writing advertising copy, travel writing and freelance copywriting. She is currently employed as a copywriter for a web development firm.

The Goblet Club, her first Young Adult novel, has won two literary awards in South Africa and is on the International White Raven list for Children's literature.

Her second Young Adult novel is currently under consideration and she is busy writing her third. A graphic novel could be somewhere in the pipeline if and when someone bothers to build a time-freezing device.

Sally-Ann lives amongst a terrifyingly large collection of books, two ungrateful cats and a Macbook named Prince Harry.
